The quarried lava stone is prepared in a multi-stage process, coated with the enamel glaze and kiln fired at over 1500 degrees F.
Lava Stone is:
Inert to heat, since that was its genesis. No other stone offers such thermal protection. Hot pans can be placed upon the surface without causing any issues.
Non-Porous, and will not stain. It can withstand all common household cleaners and food acids and requires no maintenance or sealers
UV inert. It simply will not fade. It is inorganic. Many historic French road signs were made of this material and have been successfully deployed for centuries.
It is a perfect outdoor table or countertop material…especially in lighter colors that reflect vs absorb sunlight.

Lava stone is priced at around $250-$350 per sq ft. While this is expensive, we offer a solution. We contend that you do not need a lot of color to make an artistic design statement. Templating
Templating is critical to make sure we get the overhangs, sink cutouts, faucet holes, angles, etc. correct. A good seam plan is also important. Once templated, you must freeze any added work that changes the layout.
